The allure of the freebie is almost impossible to resist. Giveaways not only drive sales for your salon, spa or barber business, they are also dynamite for building your database, increasing engagement with your brand on and offline and helping introduce a delicious new product or service.

There are heaps of opportunities out to give away just a little something-something, especially when you push it on social media, email your database, blog about it on your website or create eye-catching collateral in your salon.

#2 – Countdown to success

Hijack a holiday and make it extra special by running a giveaway countdown where you can grab email addresses or tempt engagement on your social media channels. If you have a new blow-dry bar, give away a Red Carpet Blowdry every day before the holidays as a crafty little campaign. If you want to drive sales for your nail services, hold an Easter egg hunt, in which participants can win a free manicure.
