New year, new focus

new year new focus blog

Howdy 2019 – what have you got in store for us? 2018 was the year of royal weddings, the Kardashian clan growing by three, and Mark Zuckerberg having a rough time.

More importantly, we hope 2018 was an amazing year for you and your business, but if it could have been better, this blog is for you! Because a new year means new beginnings and new chances to zen out and refocus. And we’re in it together #aww.

Create more time

Aretha Franklin knew what she was talking about. The best way to create more time in your jam-packed day is make clients R.E.S.P.E.C.T. the time you do have. Uh-huh, reducing no-shows will do wonders for your schedule. No-shows are the biggest time wasters this industry sees and you shouldn’t have a bar of it.

Automatic SMS reminders will change your life. Remember the days where the receptionist would call each and every client a day or two before their appointment to remind them of their booking? Uh-huh, it’s 2019 and those days are long gone. Now you can sit back and work on the things that you can’t automate, like spending time with your fave clients, and let an automatic SMS reminder do the tedious hard yards for you.

Upfront payments are another way to drastically reduce the amount of no-shows you see. People love their moolah, and there’s nothing clients hate more than financially committing themselves to an appointment only to waste their hard-earned cash by not showing up.

By implementing tools like upfront payments and SMS reminders, you can wave goodbye to no-shows in the new year. And who knows, you may find that you can now work just four days instead of five, yet still keep your same level of turnover.

Set achievable goals

So here’s the thing – this feature is pretty hush, hush and we probably shouldn’t be talking about it yet but we’re so close to revealing all.

Let me just say that this feature is going to help you set achievable, measurable goals in 2019. You’ll be able to view all of your business must-knows from one drop dead gorgeous dashboard in a way that will make sweet sense. It’s really going to help you know your numbers…

Have I said too much?

Take a breather

Looking for a simple salon software system that you can access remotely anytime, anywhere? Want to be chilling on Bora Bora beach sipping Piña Coladas knowing if you absolutely had to access your business essentials, you could?

With the Cloud Appointment Book you have the flexibility to check on your business when you’re out and about. You no longer need to feel tied to the front desk or even the salon since you can access all your business essentials on the go. You’ll never miss a client since you can book them in from home, out and about from your smartphone, or on your day off if you bump into them.

It also gives you the flexibility to move appointments and see what appointments are coming up for your staff. Or you can switch off and sit back so nothing can harsh your mellow – it’s completely up to you.

*sips Piña Colada*. Ah, this is living, Barry.

Stress way less

When running a business, the last thing you need is more stress on your plate like something going awry with your software. And it can happen! It’s times like these the support of a knowledgeable and helpful team is priceless.

You can contact our 24/7 Helpdesk at any time when something isn’t quite right with your Shortcuts system. Our helpful support team really are available whenever you need them most, and are based across our three main offices in Australia, the UK and the US.
