Hey Google! What’s new?

‘Hey Google! What’s the weather like tomorrow?’ ‘Hey Google! Book me a facial on Saturday.’

We’re no stranger to the idea of people casually calling out to Google to ask it a question. But what about booking a hair or beauty appointment?

Imagine if your clients could book directly from a Google search page or Google Maps. Imagine not having to worry that your website is taking too long to load, or that a client may get lost along the way to your Online Booking page. Well, imagine no more…

Reserve with Google is the latest collab between Google and Shortcuts. It works by seamlessly integrating your Shortcuts Online Booking and Appointment Book with Google so your clients can find a suitable appointment at the click of a button. Zero extra effort required! They won’t even need to leave the search page.

Excellent! Who can get their hands on Reserve with Google?

Good news for existing Shortcuts customers – it’s only available to you! No other salon software provider in Australia is offering this slice of Google pie.

If you’re already using our Online Booking feature, there’s a good chance Reserve with Google has been switched on for you already. This feature will go live on your Google My Business page and automatically update and integrate into your Online Booking.

And how much will it cost?

This is the best part – absolutely nothing!

Ok, so how does it work exactly?

So easily! Your client simply Googles what they’re looking for:

google search bar

They find your glorious self, hit the book button on your business listing, and book an appointment directly from their Google search or Google Maps. When booking their appointment, they can book in a time, date and service according to the availability in your Appointment Book. How great is that?

What are the benefits?

We partnered with Google to help give our clients the competitive edge. Reserve with Google gives your business a unique advantage over other local salons who offer similar services, since customers can book directly into your salon, spa or clinic from their very first search on Google and take advantage of your available appointments then and there.

And trust me, you will want your clients to be able to book their appointment straight from Google. Google reported that of the 8 billion smart devices in use worldwide, nearly half of the users spent more than three hours on their device… daily!

Google also reported there was a 99% increase of those people searching online for ‘me’ products. And we all know the hair and beauty industry is one of the largest ‘me’ products on the market. We also know how time poor some clients can be and we want to make their experience with booking us as effortless as possible.
