David Aumonier
David Aumonier is like so many Hairdressers of his generation, more content to cut and colour hair to a professional standard than to worry about the business side of things. This however is about to change with the installation of Shortcuts at his
self-titled David Aumonier salons in Bangor and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After seeing the system demonstrated at Salon International 2003, David entered negotiations with old friend and Shortcuts reseller Yogesh Parmar. After long rigorous talks, involving a splash of alcohol and a dash of curry, installation dates were finalised for both salons.
David says, “So far the software has allowed for far smoother business management, freeing my time to do what I love most - which is spend time with my clients. In the long term my aim is to use the system to build up the stylist’s clientele, so [wife] Lawrain and I can spend more time on holiday in Spain!”
David Aumonier has been nominated in the British Hairdressing Awards no fewer than six times. David has also won the L’Oreal Colour Trophy once, and made it through to the final last year.
David has been hairdressing for over twenty years, opening his first salon in Bangor in 1983. Working closely with his wife, David has continued to go from strength to strength opening another salon in Belfast in 1989.
