Shortcuts present GiftME™

Shortcuts Software powered by Givex, launch GiftME, the latest in gift card software for salons and spas.

Gift cards which once were only available to department stores are now available to your salon and spa which can be seamlessly integrated into your Shortcuts Software system.

GiftME™ allows for a flexible system with a global component where the gift card can be bought at salon A and redeemed at salon B, as well as allowing your clients to check their funds and top it up if they wish to.

GiftME™ comes as recent studies conducted by Woolworths found gift cards popularity has increased by 50 per cent.  As the fast paced lives in today’s society makes both the purchaser and the receiver a winner.

This is fantastic news for salons and spas as gift cards are not only able to attract business and build loyalty among customers but it also increases sales volume.

When clients use a gift card they spend more than double the face value on the card, and 10 per cent of gift cards go unclaimed, which is pure profit for the company.

Shortcuts Software evolution manager Jo Burgess said gift cards are a powerful tool of the promotional mix for salons and spas.

“Gift cards are an important part of the promotional mix because not only can it be customised to your brand and logo but it’s also a powerful tool for promotion,” Mrs Burgess said.

“If a friend gives another friend your gift card, you have a word of mouth referral, which is the most powerful form of promotion, as we trust our friends more than advertising.”
