Habia gets Technical!
Cengage Learning has just launched two new text books for the Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies. Developed in close collaboration with Habia,
The Official Guide to the Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies at Foundation Level and
The Official Guide to the Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies at Higher Level are a must have for all hair and beauty students.
The higher level book includes a chapter from the curriculum dedicated to salon software and covers the latest elements that affect working and running a salon or spa. Jane Goldsbro, co-author of both book’s, said, “The Diploma in Hair and Beauty Studies introduces learners to a broad knowledge of sector developments and selected skills across all six industries. The programme embraces the technological developments made within the sector, resulting in the inclusion of salon software systems and other product companies within this book.”
The authors approached Shortcuts Software, the world standard in salon software, to use imagery from Shortcuts software to demonstrate how salons use salon software to manage everyday functions within the business, such as booking appointments, managing stock and marketing to their client base.
Shortcuts Software is used in 45 countries around the world by over 11,000 salons and spas. “Shortcuts were thrilled to be asked to be featured in this leading book. Every salon or spa that is serious about their business needs salon software. This way they can monitor and manage their salon more effectively, easily identifying areas where they can improve and grow the business. Shortcuts software is incredibly easy to use, so even students who are technophobes, will find learning and working with Shortcuts a breeze. Indeed now students have a grounding in salon software they will take to it even quicker when in a salon environment.” Commented Tom Bentley-Taylor, General Manager at Shortcuts.
