Introducing The Goddess of Evolution

Shortcuts appoints co-founder as head of its new Evolution Department.

BRISBANE, 31 December 2007 - World leaders in salon and spa software, Shortcuts Software have appointed Jo Burgess as the head of its newly created Evolution Department.

Shortcuts new Evolution Department will be responsible for the conceptualisation, proof of concept and release of new and innovative technologies, complimentary to the Shortcuts software suite.

Shortcuts new Evolution Department is in addition to its existing Research and Development team of more than 25 full time software developers. Shortcuts are committed in continuing to invest in its core product set, to ensure that its products maintain value through additional features and modules. The Evolution Department is simply the icing on the cake.

Nicknamed at Shortcuts “The Goddess of Evolution”, Jo will head up a team of dedicated software developers and industry professionals to provide a truly dynamic perspective on software development for the salon and spa industry. With this new appointment, Jo will continue to play an integral part of the development of Shortcuts software.

As one of the original founders of Shortcuts, and a key factor in Shortcuts success, Jo used her salon during the early 90’s as the testing ground for the development of Shortcuts software. She has been with the company since, having held several key positions over the years, most recently having focussed on training and customer satisfaction.
