How to revamp your barber shop into a man cave

It’s a cut-throat industry out there as gents around the world rediscover the allure of barber shops. After all, there’s no better place for guys to kick up their feet, sink a beer and enjoy a close shave while having a chat with their barber.

Successful barbers always have clients walking through their doors looking for not only a moustache trim or modern cut, but also a well-deserved break. Barber shops have become something of a man haven, if you will. So how can you revamp your humble shop to provide a relaxing atmosphere for your male guests?

Offer that little something extra

Beer. Movies. Games. Vintage tunes. All of these little things add up to an awesome experience that will have your clients’ craving the cave.

While it’s not a game-changer to schmooze with booze, everyone appreciates a cold beer on occasion. Your guests love to kick back at the bar up the road, so why not bring this vibe into your barber shop?

The same goes for movies and games – they offer easy talking points and an opportunity for common ground between your clients. Not to mention general entertainment for all guests and an atmosphere they won’t want to leave!

Get with the times… or don’t

Part of the appeal of some barber shops is those vintage vibes that are so on-trend in 2017. Think retro leather chairs, amber light globes, rich mahogany wood, and vintage posters.

If you’re thinking ‘been there; done that’, try adding your own unique twist to the mix. There are plenty of ways to make old new again and reflect your individual personality. All you need to do is find your perfect fit.

Themes are another quick and easy way to attract a customer base and connect with their interests. If retro style isn’t your thing, you could opt for a sci-fi theme, a gaming theme complete with arcade games, or a sports theme instead.

Make it all easy-peasy
